We are currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller on behalf of our client based in Bath. Role: Reporting to the Directors this role will vary depending on the needs of the business. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a small finance team in a family office and will have various duties spanning all account areas, together with responsibility for the production of various reports and providing commercial insight to the Directors. This is a hands on role and key duties will include:
• Input and upkeep of all financial data
• Reconciliation and maintenance of the accounting system, including bank reconciliation, accruals, prepayment and depreciation
• Reporting to the directors with the financial results and data on a regular basis
• Ad hoc financial analysis as required to support operational and investment activities
• Liaising with HMRC, external accountants, pension providers and other professional advisers to ensure a smooth running of the family office Candidate: Our client is looking for a CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified accountant or qualified by experience with knowledge of Xero. You will have good planning and time management skills as the role requires management of several projects simultaneously. You will have proven ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Strong communication skills are also essential.
