This interim Financial Controller is required by this large PLC to manage a number of projects across both the UK and Ireland. Key
responsibilities:
Provide financial governance and support as a true finance business partner Deliver solutions to minimise financial and commercial risk on existing contracts, look to improve efficiency's, profitability and cash flow. Provide robust analysis to support and challenge / influence key stakeholders with their decision making process Build solid relationships with both external and internal customers to foster collaboration, networking and best practice Deliver the UK business strategy Adopt and deliver the UK Finance Strategy Ensure financial controls are highly effective and compliant with all group policies and are communicated Manage financial and commercial risks Manage sources of profit delivery including flex budgets, gain share, KPI's, Pricing mechanisms The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Qualified Accountant Experience of working within fast paced and challenging logistics, transport environments Strong Finance Business Partnering experience, highly commercial and strategic Comfortable travelling to a number of sites across the UK - this role will mainly be Rugby based but there will be a lot of travel to different sites Proven experience of getting into a business and challenging current process and procedures to look to change and roll out these changes across the business
