Due to my clients extensive international growth a need has arisen within the finance team to support the senior members across a range of financial, regulatory and process improvements. I am representing an award winning Financial Services trading firm who are going through an exciting growth period and looking to grow their London presence. Key
Responsibilities:
• Assisting in the preparation of FRS compliant statutory reports
• Assisting in the preparation of regulatory submissions to The Central Bank of Ireland
• Assisting in the preparation of VAT and Corporation tax submissions to the Irish Revenue
• Assisting with the administration of the Company's Commission Engine
• Assisting in the reconciliation and settlement of research balances
• Undertaking the weekly commissions reconciliation
• Assisting with the month end, quarter end and year end close cycles
• Assisting in the preparation of internal management reports
• Assisting in the preparation of governance and executive committee papers
• Responsible for the preparation and submission of reports to the Office of National Statistics Key Sell Points:
• Excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to move into a financial services environment
• You will be offered a fantastic breadth of coverage and the autonomy to get on with your work
• Work closely with several high performing finance professionals who will train, mentor and push you to constantly learn and develop
• The role will put you on the pathway to becoming a financial controller
• Flexibility to take on an extended contract which has scope to turn into a permanent appointment
• Will be considered for the role even if you have an extended notice period Background & Experience Required:
• Currently working in an audit/professional services environment (open to top 4 or a small/mid-size firm) OR an FCA regulated environment
• Accountancy qualification - ACA/ACCA (0-2 years experience preferable) - open to finalist level accountants who are soon to complete exams
• Ability to use your own initiative, be dynamic, work to deadlines and have the confidence to complete work that will be reviewed and signed off by senior stakeholders
• Willingness to be involved in a range of hands on duties and always wanting to learn, develop and be challenged
