Financial Controller opportunity within a large dynamic division of a PE backed manufacturing business with a strong presence in a number of UK markets. THE COMPANY This leading manufacturing business has grown significantly through acquisition and entering new markets globally. The business has a reputation for innovation and new product development within a variety of niche markets. As a result of internal promotion an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant. THE OPPORTUNITY Joining the business as Financial Controller for an autonomous division you will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team. Your role will involve having full responsibility for the divisional finance team and will report into the Group Finance Director. Key duties and responsibilities will include: Full responsibility for managing a finance team to deliver group reporting, budgeting and forecasting . Providing insight into past, current and forecast operational and financial performance. Completing all period end journals and reports to produce the Management Accounts. Assisting with M&A and restructuring projects Providing financial support to the Group CFO, in particular, by producing appropriate management information for decision making. Ensuring compliance with all statutory matters including audit and taxation to agreed timetables and regulatory requirements to statutory bodies. Completion of monthly management accounts, department P&Ls, balance sheet reports, cash-flow & assistance with Board pack. Preparation of year end schedules for auditors as necessary. THE PERSON You will be an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant able to demonstrate the following: Background within Top Tier or Large Independent Chartered Practice. Strong interpersonal skills to bring together operational requirements and financial rigour. Excellent communication and business partnering skills. Ability to handle high levels of pressure, multiple tasks and critical decision making. Leads by example and work collaboratively to grow and nurture direct reports. Prepared to be hands on at times, with the ability to also take a step back to work on strategic matters.
