Dartmouth Partners are working exclusively with an independent US Headquartered financial services firm that is expanding their operations into Europe. The firm predominately works across the investment banking, investment management and private wealth management space and has achieved huge growth in Europe over the past year. Reporting into the Global Finance Director based in the USA the EMEA Finance Manager will lead on all finance and accounting matters across Europe alongside managing a small team in the London office. The ideal candidate will need to deliver financial and management reporting to the group function in the US. Key Duties: Collect, compile and review financial data from various sources and review month-end closing entries Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations Investigate and resolve all variances and issues Produce quarterly VAT returns Responsible for accounting for all European office locations Liaise with local accountants on monthly bookkeeping and financials Produce UK consolidated financial statements Prepare annual statutory accounts for all European subsidiaries Manage junior finance team members Key liaison with auditors, as well as tax advisors Prepare information for tax returns and expatriate tax reporting compliance Prepare annual PSA return Ensure all Companies House and HMRC filings are made within deadline Oversight of European IB invoicing, when needed Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of all group finance deliveries Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and are operating effectively Maintain (current) thorough understanding of IFRS and upcoming industry and regulatory changes Participate in other projects as requested by management Produce analysis of business units Business partner with internal department heads Candidate Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (2:1 or above) Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or similar Experience managing a junior team Working familiarity with IFRS Working knowledge of general ledger software and financial systems NetSuite experience beneficial Exceptional attention to detail & excellent communication skills.
