The Company My client is one of the world's largest transport operator with a fleet of over 40,000 vehicles with a turnover of £4 billion, they're looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join their team to play a key part in their business. The role To manage, control and maintain the accuracy and integrity of all aspects of the businesses networks and other businesses within the group as assigned, including maintaining good customer relations with internal and external customers, assisting in Month end, reconciliations of Customers Accounts, Daily/Monthly Cash allocations. -To maximise the collection of outstanding debt and manage 1200 live accounts. -To ensure the prompt collection of monies by telephone, e-mail and letter. -Issuing reminder letters and placing accounts on Stop Sale. -Obtaining assistance from the Account Management Team to collect unpaid debt. -Reconciliation of key accounts -Resolving all account related queries with the Customer Services and Account management Team. -To supervise a team of credit controllers and ensure they are performing their duties and to assist in conducting appraisals and recognise key areas for development and support. -To ensure compliance with the Company Credit Policy. -To review financial information, credit reports, customer payment history etc. and to recommend appropriate credit limits for assigned key accounts -To run credit checks on new credit applications. -To review new credit applications, assess risk, approve and assign credit limits. -To Monitor and review high risk accounts to ensure they do not breach credit terms. To allocate and prepare banking for cash received into the business on a daily basis. -Performing checks on Daily/Weekly/Monthly Invoice files -Import Daily/Weekly/Monthly Invoices into Sage 200 -Prepare monthly Direct Debit and Credit Card Mandate submission files. -To complete month end tasks to strict deadlines. -To prepare periodic and ad-hoc reporting for management, as requested. -To identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in existing procedures and processes consistent with the companies policies and procedures. -To undertake adhoc tasks or projects as directed by Senior Management. The Candidate The ideal candidate would be a member of the ICM and currently studying towards an ICM qualification has a minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role; however candidates without ICM membership will be considered: -Excel Skills (Intermediate) -Ability to deal with people at all levels -Able to work in a pressurised environment and meet strict deadlines -Able to manage and prioritise -Be organised, diligent and methodical -Good Attention to detail -Good verbal and written skills -Good people skills, enthusiastic and can add value to the department -Good Systems skills, preferably Sage/Oracle Salary £28,000 Reed Specialist Recruitment Limited is an employment agency and employment business
