This is a newly created role to run finance and operations for a recently acquired technology start-up business, with ambitious plans for growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and will be responsible for accounting, financial management and the operational day-to-day running of the business. Core Responsibilities Accounting and reporting including statutory and management accounts, monthly balance sheet reconciliations Budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning Financial management including all cash management optimising cash usage and minimising borrowing costs. Establishing a strong financial controls framework Commercial decision support through business partnership and profitability analysis KPI management and commentary to drive business performance Identifying commercial risks and opportunities in relation to existing customers and market Establish operational procedure with preferred vendors whilst partnering with the legal team to review contracts Essential Skills and Attributes Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA - 3 years PQE): Ideally from Big Four, although other candidates with blue-chip experience and strong academic backgrounds will also be considered Self-Starter: This is a highly entrepreneurial environment, so we are looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running and take ownership of multiple work-streams simultaneously Adaptability: Ability to make business-critical decisions in a fluid environment Influencing Skills: As a business partner, the successful candidate will be expected to drive fact-based decision making Systems: Experience with a range of ERP/accounting packages would be highly beneficial.
