• £25,000 Our role is to assist the UK Finance Manager, as well as provide basic holiday and absence cover for the Finance Assistant. Job Description for our Assistant Accountant Role: You will be responsible for: Assist in month end and annual closing processes, producing financial reports and liaising with auditors as required. Monitoring profitability of our machine shop, down to an individual job basis. Producing accurate and timely weekly, monthly and annual reports to management. Performing a second check to monitor transfer pricing of purchases from our parent company. In time, to receive training in other finance functions, to be understood and completed in event of absence. To be considered for our Assistant Accountant role you will need to; The job holder needs a good understanding of systems in general and a willingness to learn our in-house computer systems and Advanced Excel skills. A good level of education - at least GCSE's in Maths and English grade C upwards. Accuracy and attention to detail is vitally important Ability to discuss issues with all levels to challenge, understand and improve the business. Full training will be provided, as well as paid sponsorship with ACCA, CIMA etc. Accounts experience is desirable What's on Offer As an Assistant Accountant, you will receive; Hours 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 13:00 Friday Free parking Study package.
