External AuditAssist the Group Finance Manager in the coordination of the annual audit and statutory accounts preparation process including:Liaising with overseas external advisors in the accounts preparation and audit of overseas subsidiaries;Preparation of statutory accounts for all UK and Ireland legal entities under local GAAP;Preparation of the Group's consolidated statutory accounts under both FRS102 and IFRS;Liaising with external auditors during the audit process to ensure information is complete and available according to the agreed Group audit timetable;Liaising with overseas external lawyers regarding the drafting, signing and filing of statutory documentation;Ensure all accounts and annual returns are submitted on time with the relevant local authority;Preparation of technical papers for audit considering the impact under both FRS102 and IFRS;Monitoring legal requirements for external reporting on a company by company basis.Month-End ReportingProduction of the holding company Management Accounts in accordance with the Group's month-end timetable;Preparation of the month-end consolidation of the Radius Group and production of supporting schedules;Coordination and management of the Group's intercompany process (trading, loans and interest), ensuring all balances are agreed on a monthly basis and eliminated correctly on consolidation;Responsible for the calculation of monthly interest on intercompany loans and ensuring loan documentation is in place as required;Preparation of the quarterly Covenant tests and completion of Compliance certificates for submission to the Banks; andEnsuring consistency of mapping of nominal ledger codes from individual statutory accounts to Group accounts and across each entity, including the review and maintenance of nominal ledger codes.Internal auditDevelopment and maintenance of a Group Policy document, ensuring consistency of accounting treatment across the Group;Development and roll out of an internal audit programme including:Designing and implementing an internal audit programme across the Finance function;Review of audit findings and control documents on a timely basis to ensure actions are taken to reduce / eliminate these in subsequent years;Implementation of a month end checklist and performance of balance sheet reviews;Testing controls throughout the year to mitigate risk and proposing improvements to the control framework and operation of controls.OtherProvide technical support and advise to the wider Finance team on accounting treatments such as new products, revenue streams, new financing structures and accounting standard changes;Assisting in the integration of acquisitions from a Financial reporting perspective;Attending technical updates on IFRS and FRS102 and debriefing the wider Finance team as appropriate;Assisting the Group Finance Manager with other ad-hoc Projects as required (e.g. ERP implementation);Assisting the Tax Manager on direct tax matters such as transfer pricing, WHT, R&D claims and CIR.Desirable qualifications & specialist training required:Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)What experience/skills/attributes do you need?Experience required: Experience of working in a Group function desirable;Audit background desirable;Experience of working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial businessParticular skills / aptitude required:Ability to build a strong rapport with members of the Finance Team and the wider business teams.Excellent attention to detail.Able to work under pressure and effectively prioritise to achieve strict deadlines and targets.Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Good problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to deliver high quality presentations and documents.Thrives on challenge and accountability.If you would like further information regarding this role please contact Vicky Lloyd on 441270 507376.
