Responsibilities will include: Supporting the Finance Management Team Posting and reconciliation of bank accounts Bank payments with GBP and currencies Maintain Purchase ledger & Sales Ledger Other accounting processes Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns Assist with other duties as required from time to time Maintaining spreadsheets for the department (Google and Exel) Managing petty cash Working with sales / purchase ledger Managing the department's post Processing sales orders Reconciliation of control accounts Processing invoices & expense forms Providing administrative support to the team Working closely with individuals across the business at all levels Desired Skills & Experiences: Good knowledge of VAT Some understanding of Marginal VAT Scheme (not essential but would help) Confident using accounting software - ideally Xero Some understanding imports and exports (not essential but would help) Work under minimal supervision Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Competent in using Excel, Work, Outlook etc. and Google sheets. Well organized and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
