Senior Finance Manager required on a long term interim basis, with an immedaite start, based in Stevenage. Our client, a highly acquisitive business based in Stevenage, require an interim Financial Controller on a long term contract basis (18months), to support the finance director, and management o 4 direct reports. Your remit will include the preparation of timely, accurate Monthly Management and other Financial Information for the Finance Director for presentation to the Board & External Stakeholders. You will lead the Finance team, and take responsibility for the financial control heading up the day to day activities. You may also be required to work closely with various other key stakeholders of the senior management team on ad hoc projects. Tasks may include but not limited to:- Oversee all company accounts Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations Assist with budgets and financial plans for the Utilities Division Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations Key experience / skills required: Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a least 2 years post qualification experience Strong focus on controls and processes and a high attention to detail Up-to-date technical skills The ability to work closely with external advisers Strong written and verbal communication skills - you will engage with colleagues on a daily basis and you'll need to ensure processes and standards are being followed Strong people manager who can evidence development of staff Confidence to challenge the Finance Director whilst maintaining a positive working relationship Importantly the Financial Controller will need to grow and develop as the Group continues to expand and broaden its portfolio
