Permanent Assistant Management Accountant based in Central Fife. Salary £20,000 to £25,000 DOE

Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their client for a permanent Assistant Management Accountant. Salary is £20,000 - £25,000 depending on experience. The client is keen to consider individuals who are either recent Accountancy & Finance / Business graduates OR have excellent working experience as an Assistant Accountant who are looking to grow. There is the potential for study support later on down the line for the right individual.

Your new role

You will report directly to the Management Accountant and assist with the preparation of management accounts on a weekly and monthly basis. This is a new role within the business that will give you a full understanding of the business, the business' processes and the workings of a busy finance department. You will assist in preparation of monthly accounts, including prepayments and accruals. You will complete monthly governmental returns including V.A.T. Intrastat and EC Sales List. You will check, record & process supplier invoices and assist other members of the finance team with any other duties required.

What you'll need to succeed

You will either be a recent Accountancy & Finance / Business Graduate or you will have relevant working experience within a busy Finance team. You will possess excellent I.T skills including a strong knowledge of Excel. You will have excellent attention to detail and have strong communication skills with an ability to deal with people at all levels. You will feel comfortable analysing data and making decisions on your own accord.
