Permanent Senior Management Accountant role for the automotive industry based in Essex

Your new company
A business linked with the automotive industry that has been expanding a network of UK sites. The company predominantly focuses on the scrappage and salvage of vehicles and are now hiring a new member to join their finance team. Due to a recent promotion they now have an new and exciting opportunity for a Qualified Senior Management Accountant. The company has grown over the years as they now employ thousands of people across several hundred sites.

Your new role
You will be based in the head office in Essex, and the position would be reporting to the Financial Controller.
You will be responsible for the management of accounts. The analysis and reporting of cost variances, reconciliations of accounts and balance sheets. You will be maintaining the fixed assets register, and the control the sales and allocation of balances. You will be in control of the VAT returns and handling the accounting duties for dormant companies. Completing and producing credit card summaries and inputting them in to accounting systems. You will liaise with the accounts team and ensuring the KPIs are hit. You will also be assisting the financial controller with the entry and authorisation of payments, assisting in the year-end audit, and expected to assists and deputise the Financial Controller when required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate you will need to be fully qualified in either ACA, ACCA or CIMA and ideally have experience in a similar senior finance role. It is essential you are an effect communicator, logical in your approach to work and have brilliant problem-solving skills. System expertise in Excel is a must, and it would be desirable if you have experience with SAGE 200.
