Mobile Phone Discount Scheme and My Nationwide Car Scheme My Nationwide Rewards , which includes discounts at Major supermarkets, High Street retailers, Travel & much more Average saving is around £500 per year The job of Purchase Ledger Clerk As part of the Finance Team you will work your role is to process high volumes of invoices (12,000 invoices per month) on a daily rota basis as well as assisting in being responsible for the reconciliation of supplier statements and ensuring 100% of accounts are reconciled each month. The role involves assisting in preparation and loading of weekly/monthly BACS payments, posting DD's from bank account onto purchase ledger accounts and assisting in investigating any unallocated direct debit payments / duplicate entries etc. and ensure they are resolved by month end deadlines. The Purchase Ledger Clerk deals with all supplier queries and ensuring that accounts are not put on stop. Dealing with any queries the Nationwide sites have, liaising with Territory Accountants, General Managers, Parts Managers and IT Managers. You will also gain knowledge of the job costing system (Voyager) and understanding how that links into the accounting system (Opera) Another very important aspect of the job is teamwork as you will be working with other colleagues in different departments as well as across other functional areas. You will have excellent communication skills written and verbal with strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure. Previous experience within Purchase Ledger and excellent time-management skills are essential, as is experience working with Microsoft Office especially Excel and Outlook - V Look Up and Pivot Tables is desirable.
