Our client is looking for experienced bookkeepers. This position can be based at either their office in Tonbridge or Medway. They are a successful practice and are looking for experienced bookkeepers who have worked in a practice environment. This is a diverse position where you will be managing a portfolio of different clients within various industries. You will be required to manage your own workload which is undertaken from within either our client's own office or, if necessary you will attend client premises on either a weekly/monthly/quarterly or annual basis, of which you will work directly with your client tending to their needs and requirements. Most of their clients are within an easy commute of their offices. It is therefore essential that you can drive and have your own transport. Your responsibilities will include preparation of VAT and CIS returns, Day to day bookkeeping, management accounts, budgets, cash flows, credit control for their clients at either their premises or within our client's office and liaising with clients to resolve questions on bookkeeping, VAT or CIS. To be considered for the role we are looking for the following: - Double-entry bookkeeping experience - Proficient in using Sage and Excel, any knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks would be advantageous - AAT level 4 qualified, the client would consider AAT level 3 for those with at least 3 years practice experience - Full driving licence and own transport - Ability to cope with demanding deadlines In return our client offers a great working environment within their newly refurbished, open plan offices within a friendly atmosphere that is team focused, caring and supportive.
