Business Services Group based in Havant, Hampshire, requires an Interim Financial Controller for a period of 9 months to assist the business with a period of restructure, consolidation and change. Reporting to the Finance Director, the main responsibilities will include the day to day management of the finance team to ensure the timely production of the monthly and annual financial statements; assisting with the preparation of the annual budget; monthly and annual forecasting incorporating variance analysis; assisting with preparation of monthly payroll; monthly cash flow monitoring and forecasts. In addition, the successful candidate will support the Finance Director with a complete review of all existing processes and procedures implementing effective improvements to ensure that financial information is produced in a timely manner going forwards. Applicants for the position will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification, with a proven track record of working within similar 'troubleshooting' positions. They must be comfortable being 'hands on' and possess exceptional communication, negotiation and staff supervisory skills.
