Opportunity We are seeking to appoint a qualified accountant into a Management Accountant role. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will work as part of a small finance team for a long established Newcastle based charity. Key Responsibilities Assist with the production of the month end accounts, reporting pack and other associated reports Responsibility for payroll analysis and monthly journals Preparation of rota information for salary processing Budget preparation Support budget holders with rota management Responsibility for credit control processes Process journals Prepare and process monthly prepayments and accruals Process BACS payments Balance sheet reconciliations Income reconciliation Assist in the year end accounts and audit preparation Gift aid claims from HMRC Finance inspections of projects Essential Criteria The successful candidate will possess: A professional accounting qualification or be working towards a qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA) Excellent communication skills both verbal and written The ability to manage and prioritise several activities simultaneously and work to deadlines A good understanding of accounting in the charitable sector Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts.
