Do you have experience of working within a senior finance role, and are looking for a new challenge to further your skills and experience?My client is a London-based wide-reaching social action charity looking for a Head of Finance to lead their finance team during this exciting time of change and growth within the organisation. This role offers the successful candidate the wonderful opportunity to be the main point of contact for all finance related activities across the organisation within an established charity that impacts the lives of thousands of people across the UK.Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this opportunity offers candidates the chance to be a real driving force behind the success of the finance team, thereby influencing the success of the wider organisation. The main responsibilities of this role are to:Oversee the work of the finance team, taking the lead on day-to-day management of all operational aspects of finance.Manage and pull together the charity's statutory accounts, consolidating the accounts of the various entities of the organisation.Be fully responsible for ensuring that all monthly financial reports are produced in a timely manner, bringing together the work done by the finance team.Communicate regularly to senior budget holders across the organisation, providing budgetary support and detail analysis of the date.Provide the Finance Director with vital support in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.Given this role's wide scope of influence this would be an excellent stepping stone for future progression down the line towards a director level role. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of previously working in a senior finance role. It would be highly beneficial for candidates to have experience of working within the charity sector and a good understanding of Charity SORP, however, candidates without this are still encouraged to apply.
