Robert Half Finance & Accountancy are working exclusively with our client based in Hemel Hempstead on the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant position. This an excellent full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an SME business in a varied role. Role The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for: Raising sales invoices within the Exchequer accounts system and submitting to clients via e-mail and, occasionally, post. Issuing monthly statements to clients via e-mail and, occasionally, post. Credit control via telephone and e-mail. Maintaining the bank accounts and inputting the transactions within the Exchequer accounts system. Reconciling of supplier statements and processing the associated payments within the banking software. Actioning ad hoc payments within the banking software, as required. Processing monthly payroll within the IRIS payroll software, including the issuing of payslips and processing of the associated payments within the banking software. Answering incoming telephone calls, in the absence of the main employee responsible for same, and directing to the appropriate department. Profile We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant who is prepared to be flexible and hands-on in terms of duties and tasks.
