We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant based at the Kassam Stadium Oxford, managing the Accounts Functions of two Oxford hotels: Hampton by Hilton & Holiday Inn Express. The role also includes producing the accounts for the Ozone Leisure complex. All the businesses are situated next to the Kassam Stadium. Site had gone through an expansion, with a brand-new hotel added just a couple of years ago, a significant refurbishment is now underway at the second hotel. What's the job? This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant/Finance Manager to join our successful and stable Accounts Team. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of financial and management accounting, including regulatory, financial and statutory reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The successful Financial Accountant will have the opportunity to build the finance function and provide financial support to the General Manager, Group Financial Controller and the Directors. The role will report to the Group Financial Controller and the Company Directors while working closely with the General Managers of both Hotels and Managing Accounts Assistants. Requirements: Experience of successfully running the finance function for at least two years. Qualified/Part-Qualified or Qualified by experience. Working knowledge of Sage 200 Accounting and Sage Payroll Systems. Knowledgeable in matters of VAT, PAYE and Accounting Standards. Management Experience as the role will be responsible for a managing a small team of two Accounts Assistants. Ability to communicate and engage with both Senior Managers and Directors. Preferred prior Hotels experience working within a fast-paced environment ideally self-accounting. Preferred knowledge of Hotel Property Management Systems Opera or On-Q.
