Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be key in assisting to maintain the Regulatory Accounting Framework and Internal Financial Controls of the business, with specific responsibility for all Statutory Issues including preparing the Statutory Accounts prior to filing at Companies House. You will ensure compliance with all Direct and Indirect Tax legislation and maintain the appropriate accounting records. In addition, the Assistant Accountant will assist in Month End reporting, audit control all Balance Sheet Accounts, complete periodic VAT returns, and assist the payroll and HR teams with reconciliations of various balance sheets and provide support managing overheads and budgets. The opportunity to assist in variance analysis will all add to this diverse and interesting workload. The successful candidate will be part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA), with two to three years' experience in an accounting environment, with proficient Excel and a confident collaborative communication style. Experience of SAP an advantage.
