You will be responsible for assisting the Manager to improve processes, supervise the team each day setting objectives and monitoring the completion of those objectives. You will help to manage the ledgers by helping design and implement changes to processes for invoice postings, payments and general maintenance the supplier ledger. Ensuring cash is posted daily and allocated to appropriate invoices for Direct Debit payments or manual payments to suppliers. A monthly review of the ledger with the Manager to target issues and resolve before they escalate. To help with training and on-going career progression for self and team members. To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with team and wider business. To understand and follow the ethos of: here to help, and happy to do so. This role will require you to go above and beyond and time outside of normal working hours maybe required for duties to be completed. We are seeking an enthusiastic and a self-driven individual with a can-do attitude. To perform other assigned functions of a routine nature under the direction of the Manager. Duties & Skills Ensure exceptional level of accuracy across our ledgers Query resolution to be dealt with promptly and professionally. Assist with new process implementations. Advise management of ideas which will help the team to work more proactively. To assist with audits by ensuring all necessary documents are provided to Auditors as and when required To train, develop and upskill other team members To complete any other reasonable task as requested by management Essential Criteria Proven experience within a Purchase Ledger Experience of working with foreign currencies would be beneficial but not a must have. Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, excel, word, power point etc. Excellent skills at building successful relationships, within team and company. Excellent interpersonal skills. Fluency in written & oral English. Accountability and ownership of workload. Team Player Effective planning and organising skills Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
