Overview of the Department/Section: Overview of Credit Division for EMEA ("ECD"): ECD is a credit division responsible for corporate banking credit for non-Japanese corporates, non-Japananse FIs, and non- Japanese Sovereigns (collectively Global Corporates). It's major fuctions are outlined as follows: Assesment and management of credit risks and related risks Assesment and management of country risks Management of problematic assets Monitoring, reporting and early action Portfolio analysis and management Main Purpose of the Role : As a GCARS ('Global Credit Application & Rating System') Help Desk function, to provide support to c.800 G-CARS users in EMEA region coping with a number of queries of these users. to liaise with the head office in Tokyo over G-CARS related issues. to assist with any G-CARS related projects. To conduct various administrative tasks. Key

Responsibilities:
Educate users on the G-CARS system within the EMEA region, and deal with day to day enquiries. Liaise with the Head Office as necessary and cascade new policies and rules to EMEA officies. Support the development of G-CARS system within the EMEA region. Produce and assist producing various reporting materials to relevant divisions/offices both in EMEA and Tokyo. Direct Reports: 0 Skills and Experience: Functional / Technical Competencies: Extensive IT experience required including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint (Essential). Competent knowledge and sufficient Excel skills (formula, pivot table, graphs, VLOOKUP) is required (Essential). Both English and Japanese language skills are prefereable (Beneficial). Work Experience: Experience in working in a helpdesk environment and in trying to understand users' needs (Beneficial).
