Assistant Accountant - up to £28,000 per annum SAXON is an automotive products specialist and manages a range of leading brands. We have a proven track record as effective brand managers, with over 30 years experience of successfully distributing brands to major retailers. Some of our brands include LITTLE TREES, Stoplock and WD40. We are now recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join our friendly team. The main purpose of this role is to assist in the production of monthly management accounts. The Role: Prepare, write and post standard monthly nominal ledger journals, including accruals, prepayments and provisions Control and process payments to foreign currency suppliers Production and distribution of several monthly reports Accurate and timely calculation and submission of the currency forecast Assist in production of the audit file and tax pack Assist in the production of forecasts and budgets Intrastat and EC sales list submissions Assist in processing of daily sales ledger cash receipts Follow the Group standard accounting procedures and methods Deal with all aspects surrounding company cars and company mobile phones Undertake ad hoc activities specified by the Finance Director The Person: You will be currently working in accounts, at a similar level Ideally you will be AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA / CIMA The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch. We are situated in the centre of Hungerford next to the Train Station. There is also ample free car parking. We offer 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays plus a contributory pension.
