An independent global distributor is currently seeking a talented Assistant Accountant to join their team and take over ownership over their own portfolio of accounts, due to an exciting period of growth and internal promotion. Daily duties will involve: Maintain the ledgers up to trial balance and assist Management Accountants in the preparation of reporting packs and financials for quarterly and yearly reporting to management, investor and banks. Monthly reporting will be required eventually Help Management Accountants with drafting of year-end financial statements and liaise with group and company auditors for timely sign off Dealing with the commercial and technical managers for integrity of reports, queries, cash remittances, cost overruns, raising of invoices and other follow ups Cash management (including payments) and liaising with the bank(s) for account maintenance; Assist management accountants with daily operations Perform office administrative duties with good interpersonal skills This position would really suit an ambitious and diligent professional who is currently studying towards their ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualifications (or would like to start). This business will see you working closely with qualified professionals with a high degree of experience and reporting lines to the FD/CFO of the business, offering plenty of senior stakeholder and client facing exposure. To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate: Degree/diploma level or qualified by experience including someone studying towards accounting qualifications Solid understanding of double-entry and book keeping.
