My client is looking to recruit an Assistant Accounting to join their privately, family-owned property management and development company based in Harrow. You will work as a part of a small team, on a variety of tasks related to the Accounting requirements of the Management Board. They are looking for someone with an analytical and IT savvy mind. The role of the Assistant Accountant will include: Banking Processing cheques on a daily basis Scanned and saved cheques banked Paying in cheques Processing weekly Direct Debit payment Processing Direct Debit mandate Processing inter account bank transfer on Bankline Service charge Accounts Collating invoices for the year end accounts as requested by service charge accountants Bank Reconciliation Prepare monthly bank reconciliation control sheet Ticking off transactions on Xero Investigate any discrepancies Daily reconciliation on Receipt and Payment accounts Demand and Queries Dealing with tenant queries - by phone or e-mail promptly Processing Tenant refund Processing Tenant deposits Issuing and send out demands Ground Rent Pay over rent to clients quarterly Ad hoc Duties Dealing with Accounts archiving Any other duties as required to help with office tidy For this role I'm looking for somebody with the following skills and past experience: Good communication skills on written and verbal Eye for details Intermediate level on Excel and Word Microsoft Outlooks Knowledge using Xero critical Any use of Property management software such as Arthur is useful/preferred. A good team player Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines The salary for this role is up to £19,000 depending on experience.
