Our finance team provides valuable support to the Business Leaders of Grant Thornton, giving them the information they need to monitor the Firms results and to achieve it's strategy for growth. We help to safeguard the Firm's assets and ensure our finance policies are applied by providing the necessary support and challenge to the business. We are part way through an exciting project to introduce a new finance platform and rethink the way finance provides support to the business and you will be part of this. What you'll be doing: You will maintain the integrity of the financial system and will ensure financial information is prepared on a timely and accurate basis You will manage the distribution of purchase ledger post You will ensure invoices are appropriately authorised You will apply appropriate nominal ledger coding to authorised invoices You will prepare BACS and cheque payments for review You will post purchase invoices and credit notes to the system You will regularly reconcile supplier statements to the purchase ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies Who we're looking for: You will have purchase ledger experience (minimum criteria) You will be have a working knowledge of VAT regulations and ensure accurate recovery You will have strong Excel skills You must also share our CLEARR values - Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Respect and Responsibility.
