This established, very successful and rapidly growing South Bedfordshire based international business, is seeking to appoint a technically skilled, strategically thinking Head of Finance to work closely with the Managing Director and senior team in leading the business's overall finance function and associated commercial functions. As Head of Finance your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Producing weekly margin reports Monthly management accounts preparation Balance sheet management Budgeting and forecasting Weekly cash flow (multi-currency) forecasting and reporting Foreign exchange accounting Year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation VAT and taxation Invoice discounting Staff management and development Managing key finance relevant external relationships Strategic planning Various ad-hoc projects A qualified senior accountant, you'll possess strong demonstrable experience from within an SME environment and one that's undergone rapid expansion and constant change. Experience, ideally, in varying international trade, along with a solid understanding of multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange strategies is also key, as is the ability to effectively manage a small team, while simultaneously undertaking both a hands-on and strategic Head of Finance role. Previous experience in implementing and developing new IT and reporting systems is also essential, as is an outgoing personality and the ability to work effectively with a small team of directors, driving the business's continued growth, profitability and success.
