About us The role This is a new role within the recently created, commercially focused FP&A department. The successful candidate will partner with central Heads of Department to understand departmental performance - is their spend on target vs budget, are their projects delivering the forecast benefits? You will also play a key role in developing the content of and the production of monthly performance packs and supporting analysis to truly drive the performance of the business. As a newly created role, there is a great opportunity to drive the agenda and focus the business on where the greatest opportunities exist. This will be a broad and varied role in an exciting and rapidly growing business with great exposure to the senior finance team and wider leadership team. Key accountabilities Understand and report on departmental performance vs budget Develop reporting to improve department's understanding of their performance Support the development of business cases and post implementation performance reviews Lead the reforecast and annual budget processes for central costs Own the group financial model updating for monthly performance and latest financial plans Support the Head of FP&A in producing performance packs and supporting analysis Develop the cash forecasting processes of the business Ad hoc analysis to understand and drive business performance Skills and experience ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Previous FP&A / commercial finance experience Retail experience preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience dealing with large volumes of data Excellent analytical skills including the ability to understand the commercial implications of the data Excellent accuracy and attention to detail Ability to challenge "the norm" Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills Can do attitude Good team player Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines Department Branch This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/86388569
