Your role is to run the international indirect tax advisory team and as Director you will also be required to identify, communicate and advise on opportunities and risks which are applicable to an extensive and diverse client portfolio and increase advisory revenues. Responsibilities include: The position is an advisory team lead role under which international indirect tax guidance and infortion is delivered to clients in order for them to manage their transactions and business operations. Deliver and sign out specialist advice on the full range of applicable Indirect Tax issues to internal and external clients, including supply chain mapping and the overlay of Indirect Tax implications. Ensure the team is delivering technical indirect tax analysis and guidance in an efficient and practical way Proactively identify Indirect Tax service offerings and opportunities and work with internal resources to promote and sell such offerings to existing and prospective clients. Attend meetings and conference calls with clients and prospective clients in order to discuss potentially complex technical areas of indirect tax on a multi-jurisdictional basis, or to promote the services of the Indirect Tax advisory function. Ensure that any advice delivered to clients which has an impact on their compliance position is fully communicated to the compliance team for their reference. To ensure that internal processes regarding all aspects of advisory work are being complied with and improved where applicabl. Develop internal and external client relationships in order to leverage further service opportunities and to further enhance the international reputation of the Indirect Tax advisory team. Proactively identify and communicate relevant changes in legislation and policy which will impact clients To develop the indirect tax advisory team as a whole through technical training, guidance and coaching and to ensure the team is maximising chargeability and profitability. Assist in the preparation and scoping of projects which may involve both an advisory and a compliance element in support of the sales and client services functions. Qualifications and Experience
• A CTA or AIIT (or equivalent such as CA) qualification is desirable although not essential depending on experience.
• Strong track record of advising on technical Indirect Tax matters in a client based environment.
• Knowledge of Indirect Tax on an international basis. You could work from any of the 3 locations mentioned in the heading
