Accounts Receivable Officer / Leeds / 6 Months / £80p/d PAYE This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join a leading Government Department based in Leeds. The position is integral to the day to day management and operation of the Accounts Receivable team and will have a primary focus across a variety of aspects of the function including initial raising and distribution of invoices, allocation of payments received, maintaining customer records, dealing with incoming queries and first line credit control activities on a limited number of outstanding invoices. Key Responsibilities Ensure all routine transactional work is progressed and completed in line with the appropriate service level timescales and qualities expected Financial administration of debtor invoices, credit notes, receipts and customer records to ensure an accurate and up to date debtors ledger Undertake first line credit control work on aged debts to secure settlement Contribute to month end reconciliations and calculate and report upon a range of Accounts Receivable key performance indicators Key skills A sound knowledge of accounts receivable and credit control processes Significant experience of working at pace within a multi-disciplinary financial environment Proficient in the use of IT software and systems, in particular Microsoft Excel and Outlook Good organisational and interpersonal skills including the abilities to communicate effectively across a diverse range of people and to be able to plan and manage competing priorities Please submit your CV now to be considered for the position.
