This business is a high profile retail distribution firm operating from an online platform. It is one of the fastest growing tech start-ups and this is a new role which has been created to support the development of the business. This role will report to the Finance Director. Key responsibilities include: Ensuring the company's policies and processes are in line with regulatory and ethical standards Designing and implementing a strong system of global internal control - starting in Finance and likely moving to the wider business Documenting the key controls across the business and ensuring that they continue to be appropriate in regards to any further growth and change within the business Ensuring internal compliance with our own policies and controls and performance testing as necessary Conducting spot tests in risk areas Liaising with internal audit to work on recommendations and improvements Assisting in the drafting of financial policy documentation The Person Be experienced at working in a fast-paced environment / start up / entrepreneurial culture Self-starter Flexible and adaptable Have good communication skills Previous experience in a compliance role Finance / accounting experience would be an advantage Detail oriented Have the credibility to communicate with stakeholders at all levels Have a high level of personal integrity
