Hastings Direct, Assistant Accountant Intern We are looking for an Assistant Accountant Intern to join our: finance team, based in the Bexhill office. This is a new and exciting opportunity to gain exposure to different areas of finance. Programme Overview; This 12 month placement is designed to give Interns the exposure to different areas of finance, supporting key accounting teams with two 6 month placements. Within these placements Interns will develop the core competencies expected of a finance professional, such as planning and forecasting, reporting and business performance management, alongside the characteristics which will make them a great asset to a future finance team The placement could be within the following areas and further details will be shared at assessment;
• Financial Accounts
• Financial Reporting
• Business Partnership (Analyst)
• Management Reporting and Planning
• Tax During placement, relevant and challenging work will be allocated to provide a broad and comprehensive understanding of the function and the wider business. The placements will be chosen at least one month before the end of the current placement in view of your development needs and career goals, however placements in specific areas cannot be guaranteed. Requirements

• Ability to contribute to the conversation
• Able to challenge the norm and consider a range of views
• Agility and ability to move from task to task quickly and handle many things at once
