Finance Manager - Aviation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Opportunity for a talented and fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Finance Manager to join this global and expanding aviation business. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will have the pivotal role of overseeing the financial management of the business, supporting the management team with all their financial activities. Working to tight timelines, you will use your experience to manage the full complement of financial operations from budgeting and forecasting through to cash flow management and auditing, with the successful candidate taking control for the company's accounting activities. Key responsibilities include: Formulation of the Strategic plan financials and targets, monitoring financial progress and giving variance analysis where appropriate, creating standardised templates for data capture to support analysis, reviewing performance, assess risks & identify opportunities, reporting and present conclusions on profitability and variance. Requesting accrual and other judgement based adjustments, preparation and commentary on month end reports for senior management, identification of significant items requiring high level management attention, provision of variance analysis, ensuring accounting is in accordance with strategic management decisions and adheres to policies, conducting project-based work in an environment of continuing change and progress. In conjunction with the business teams, prepare business cases for presentation for approval, providing advice regarding financial viability, support in compiling financial cost and benefit data. Development and maintenance of good working relationships with external agencies such as HMRC, pension advisors, banks etc, overseeing weekly cash flow analysis, record financial transactions in a timely manner and in accordance to IFRS standards. Ensuring all financial systems and policies etc adhere to the current relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, understanding how such regulations and standards impact upon the business, ensuring reports for HMRC, VAT and corporation tax are prepared and submitted appropriately. Conducting performance reviews, setting of deadlines and targets and implementation of changes within your department to lead, motivate and develop employees. Ensuring finance system security and safeguarding of company information, ensuring employees are up to date with our current accounting software, providing support for any future software changes or implementations. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent persuasive and interpersonal skills. Your key strengths will include strong commercial acumen and strategic business knowledge. Ideally, you will have experience in aviation or a related industry. Fluency in Russian and other international languages is advantageous to this role. This is a permanent role.
