As Senior Finance Assistant the key element of your role is to asssist the Team Leader in ensuring that financial assessments team complete assessments in line with the Local Authorities Policies and Procedures, DOH guidance and the Care Act. Other duties include (but are no limited to): Assist the team leader in effectively planning, resourcing, organising and managing the work of one of the teams responsible for successfully processing Lincolnshire County Council assessments and payments; Assist the team leader in developing and supporting new system initiatives, including but not limited to reporting and year end activities; Assist the team leader and deputise in their absence in managing customer complaints/queries; Support the team leader in the provision of key statistical data; Assist the team leader in managing all planned and unplanned absences, training plans and development; Resolve more complex/sensitive issues relating the work of the team; About You: If you are already an experienced Senior Finance Assistant, used to working with high volumes of work, then we want to hear from you We do ask that you have experience of working in a financial environment and of administrating financial systems. In addition to this it is essential that you have supervisory experience in managing a large team. You must have a good level of education - GCSE C or above in English and Maths or proven literacy and numeracy skills as well as competences in Microsoft applications and/or computerised financial systems. Knowledge of the Care Act and Adult Care Financial Assessment would be beneficial.
