This role will require an experienced part qualified or QBE management accountant to fully manage the month end process. You will be tasked with supporting the finance team in Warrington, working in a global market place. This role is a busy role and will be initially for a 12 month basis however this could last longer.

The business are experiencing healthy growth on an international scale and are easily the market leader within its specialism, the UK head office is based in Runcorn and the teams will report on figures internationally.

This opportunity will be working within a team of 3 qualified accountants with a reporting line to the UK CFO.

Description

This Management Accountant role will require the following duties;

*Month-End Reporting

*Reconciling the monthly production costs of several locations and identifying key price and usage variances.

*Reviewing various product trading accounts, identifying any issues and reporting the performance of these accounts to the Business Controller.

*Completing reports to assist in the Sales and Operational Planning process as well as providing Management Information to the rest of the business.

*Sales Analysis

*Provide weekly updates to the business of performance vs forecasted and budget sales. Quantify the impact of any variances.

*Working Capital reporting

*Reconcile and report the company's stock position on a monthly basis. Including calculating the value of stocks and reporting any variation from the standard cost.

*Report the company's working capital position on a monthly basis including forecasting future movements and helping to identify areas for improvement.

*Provide assistance to the stock-control team to ensure consistency between physical and reported stocks.

*Assist in and possibly lead several of the company's annual stock counts.

*Forecasting and Budgeting

*Keep the 'Gross Margin by Customer' analysis up-to-date for several key products, ensuring all sales achieve the required level of profitability.

*Continual checks of the Sales and Cost forecasts to ensure accuracy.

*Complete the monthly "flash" forecast for the region which is a final forecast run performed prior to month-end.

*Assist the Management Accounts team in completing the annual budget. This involves gaining inputs from individual budget managers and providing inputs for Management review and consolidation.

*Assist other members of the finance team in completing various ad-hoc reports required by the Corporate function.

*Provide cover for other members of the Management Accounts team during holidays/sickness etc.

Profile

For this management accountant role you must have;

*Degree in financial or business discipline preferred.

*CIMA part-qualified. Ideally studying for the Professional qualification. Or QBE

*Must be highly numerate with advanced experience in Excel (Pivot tables, filters, lookups, IF statements etc).

*Experience of working with SAP is an advantage.

*Must be flexible, including working longer hours at certain times in order to meet corporate deadlines.
