To introduce and mature financial and compliance policies and processes within the business, ensuring all legal and industry requirements and standards are adhered to. Drive the business towards new standards and provide strategic financial direction to the CEO, board members, senior management and investors. Guide senior managers in making sound financial business decisions in the long and short term. Manage / own complex financial modelling. Manage the internal bookkeeping assistant. Manage relationships with investors on financial matters. Own financial planning and forecasting. Produce financial reports and compliance returns. Provide general leadership and strategic direction to the company based on financial observations. Develop robust systems and strategies to ensure the financial health of the company. Provide leadership and line management to finance staff and work strategically with key stakeholders. Requirements Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, to ensure financially sound standards of delivery and business development models, whilst ensuring high quality levels of compliance. Maintain a consistent, positive presence within the Senior Management Team and with external consultants. Be responsible for regularly liaising and meeting with external accountants and play a key role in acquiring new business. Financial Management - Provide leadership to the finance function; ensuring proper accounting practices, governance and control processes are in place. Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation. Business Development - Take a lead role in developing, implementing, analysing, maintaining and presenting strategic business and financial plans Close involvement in commercial negotiations with customers. Compliance Management Analyse risk and manage several standards concurrently. Lead risk management and associated insurance requirements. Procure and/or carry out risk awareness training. Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met. Lead for ISO, GDPR and Brexit and deal with the set-up, processes, adherence, claims, training etc. Lead procurement and purchasing for the company. Develop, implement and communicate compliance related issues to employees across all departments. Develop, implement and project manage the introduction and renewal of standards. Interpret and translate quality frameworks and standards into rational processes. What matters? Trust, teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit. ACA qualification or equivalent. Experience in a similar role, as you will need to hit the ground running. Exceptional stakeholder relationship management. Complex financial modelling, planning and forecasting. We will consider full or part time working. Experience of preparing clear, concise and accurate documentation and reports. Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making. Exceptional commercial, financial and analytical skills. Experienced in finance and compliance.
