Group AccountantLondonInitial 6 Month Contract£300 per day IQ Talent Solutions are delighted to be working with one of our key clients an industry leader to support with the recruitment of an exciting and challenging new opportunity for a Group Accountant on an ongoing contract basisThe role sits within the Group Reporting Team, reporting into the Group Reporting Manager and forms part of the Group Financial Controllership, along with Financial Planning & Analysis.Duties & Responsibilities
• Supporting the preparation of the Group's consolidated statutory accounts and relevant notes to the accounts;
• Supporting the preparation of Group management accounts for monthly close, budget and forecasts;
• Monitoring the integrity of the management and financial data used for Board Report, management accounts, budget and forecasts;
• Analysis and reconciliation of intercompany balances globally and support in evolution of enhancement to group-wide controls, systems and processes relating to intercompany;
• Preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis and reconciliations for both finance and non-finance heads of business;
• Development and implementation of robust data collection templates for month-end reporting, forecast and budget;
• Support the roll out of Infor (consolidation system) across the group;
• Assisting the Group Finance team with the development and evolution of group-wide controls, systems and processesExperience & Skills
• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience (ACA/ACCA or local equivalent)
• Experience on financial consolidation systems preferred
• Knowledge/experience of multinational group consolidation and accounts preparation would be a distinct advantage
• Candidates will have a proven track record of succeeding in a deadline driven environment and will be able to demonstrate strong MS Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel
• You will be able to work as part of a team but also capable of working on own initiative with high level of accuracy in your work and good attention to detail
