Hays Accountancy and Finance are proud to be working with this manufacturer in Nuneaton, to recruit a Finance Assistant. We are looking for a person who will work closely with the Finance Manager and who has all-round accounts experience.
Your new role
Main duties of the role include:
- Bank transaction preparation and postings to sales, purchase and general ledger
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts & cash postings
- Posting & reconciliation of prepayments & accruals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with cash flow forecasting
- Assistance in analysis of P&L & stock accounts
- Management of recording & analysis of time sheets
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with completion of VAT return for review by Finance Manager
- Transaction processing as required
- Holiday cover & support as required for Purchase Ledger Clerk & Credit Controller
- Ad hoc accounts analysis
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have previous experience in finance and be confident with Purchase/Sales ledger processing and account reconciliations. You will be competent on MS excel, and be able to work well within a small team of 4.
