A leading organisation are recruiting for a new Assistant Accountant to assist the finance department. Your New Role
Reporting into the financial accountant you'll be responsible for: Code and enter purchase invoices (including VAT coding using a partial exemption method) Prepare monthly BACS payment runs, make ad hoc payments as needed. Cash book - Code and enter bank receipts & payments and petty cash Enter and reconcile credit cards monthly Raise and post sales invoices (including VAT coding), manage repeating invoices, process receipts and chase debt Bank reconciliations using bank feeds Maintain analysis spreadsheets for processing and information. Monitoring debtor performance and providing regular reports to management. Ad hoc BACS payments and intercompany transfers and recharges. Processing VAT and coding invoices under partial exemption
What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong accounts experience in a busy office environment of 2 years. You must have a good working knowledge of MS Excel, including look up and pivot tables. Excellent communication skills and a polite, professional and persuasive telephone manner. A key eye for detail, including data input/order processing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
