Hays have been retained to exclusively recruit a Financial Controller for a highly successful business Chessington. A privately owned 'Direct-Marketing' business, they are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year! They operate globally and report into their US Head office, a $350m turnover consumer products business. They are constantly innovating new products, using business intelligence to drive success and empowering staff to make the difference. Working with a passionate and experienced Managing Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for a finance individual who wants to learn how to lead a business and become a Finance Director. Based in accessible offices in Chessington Surrey, close to the A3 and M25, they a re a short walk from the station.

Your New Role.
Reporting to an inspiring Managing Director you will manage a team of 5 and will be expected to optimise the company's financial performance, safe-guard the company assets and maintain internal controls, while ensuring regulatory and legal compliance. You will be recruited as Financial Controller, with the view of being 'fast-tracked' to Finance Director in 2-to-3 years. You will be responsible for company strategy, financial analysis, business plans and targets, tax and for leading the finance team. You will join the senior management team and be expected to attend board meetings from day 1. This is a unique opportunity, where you will receive mentoring and coaching to progress through to Finance Director.

What you'll need to Succeed.
You will be ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified with a least two years of post-qualification experience. You will be ambitious, with the desire to be a Finance Director for a successful SME business. In addition, you will have the ability to lead, make decisions and drive the future success of the business. Experience of stock accounting, manufacturing, and/or warehousing experience is beneficial but not essential. You will be a strong communicator with integrity and credibility.

What you will get in return
