Your new company

A large complex organisation based in central Coventry have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant/Treasury assistant to join their team on a temporary basis for up to 3 months. There is a permanent vacancy within the team and you will have the opportunity to apply should you wish to.

Your new role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated Accounts Assistant to join the newly formed Treasury team within this organisation.

The post holder will work as part of a team processing a high volume of cashbooks transactions on the ledger. You will also support with front office work during seasonal peaks around enrolment where you will man the finance counter.

Main Accountabilities:
To provide counter cover during enrolment and busy times, dealing with student enquiries and help provide a customer service function.
Assist with the administration of the on-line payment facility and liaise with colleagues to ensure that income is correctly recorded and allocated.
Respond to enquiries over the phone, face to face and via email regarding the payments of fees and outstanding balances in a timely manner.
Reconcile data at month-end and year-end, including reconciliations of bank accounts and petty cash using Income Manager and general ledger.
Provide high quality customer care through the provision of accurate and confidential financial information.


What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will require the following:
Experience in an accounting or finance role Experience of working with high volume bank accounts and large databases.
High level of expertise in the use of appropriate applications within Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to manage you own time and prioritise work Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide good Customer Service
Qualified to degree, AAT Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject or relevant formal training/experience is essential.
