An opportunity has arisen for payroll assistant due to internal promotion. With the ongoing support of the person within the role previously, this role is a great opportunity to grow within payroll. It is an opportunity for someone who has a meticulous attention to detail, is process driven and enjoys problem solving. Your responsibilities will include:- -Maintain a log of timesheets expected and check against it -Approve monthly timesheets on paper and in CRAM system, checking for errors -Manage the process of entering timesheets onto the Eque2 system -Chase up timesheets and ensure they are prepared in line with CAN's policies -Run monthly payroll -Run post payroll procedures, including sending out payslips and letters and updating all necessary spreadsheets -Other payroll duties -Maintain correct rates within payroll and on other systems -Process starters and leavers within payroll -Be the first point of contact for payroll queries with the workforce -Assist accounts team with month end close down and accrual procedures -Cover/Assistance to accounts team -Provide cover and assistance for other staff within the accounts department as required. -This may include assisting in the processing of purchase invoices and in the processing of sales applications and invoices.
