The Cost Accountant will be responsible for the production of detailed management accounts as well as providing effective cost reports and variance analysis.

Description

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for:

• Providing financial support to the site Financial Controller
• Providing detailed cost reports alongside variance analysis
• Support the preparation of project invoices
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly project financial reports including profit and WIP analyses
• Financial analysis by project type, department and staff performance
• Work closely with the non finance teams to provide accurate support
• Work and support internal and external audit reviews and reporting
• Support process improvements and system developments

Profile

The successful candidate for the Cost Accountant will be:

• ACCA / CIMA part-qualified or finalist
• Previous experience in a manufacturing and production environment would be advantageous
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills
• Drive continuous improvement
• Confident user of Excel and experienced with a range of accounting software
