My client is looking for an ambitious, articulate and impressive Financial Accountant to join part of their centrally based London Finance team. The ideal candidate will be coming from Retail, be at finalist level with their accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and be proficient with IFRS/SOX/SAP. You will be confident in your experience and be able to clearly explain the finance procedures to those with a non-financial background. This role will require you to undertake the following responsibilities - IFRS reporting, including additional quarterly and annual disclosures; On-going implementation and monitoring of J-SOX controls; Key involvement in month end P&L reviews and balance sheet analysis meetings; Relationship building with management of stores and the EC business to identify potential accounting issues and to aid management's understanding of their P&Ls; Hold regular discussions with Corporate Planning to aid P&L management and business insight; On-going coaching and training of our outsourced accounting and AP functions dealing with transactional processes (Accenture team, based in Manila) Preparation and review of monthly journals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations for designated countries and accounts Hold daily conversations with store and other SSC (Store Support Centre) colleagues to enable the completion of the above tasks.
