Our client is an established business with a history of staff retention and following an internal move they are now recruiting for someone to join their team heading up the day to day operations of the finance function. This will be a busy role that will involve managing a team and working closely with the Head of Finance. Duties will include; Production of monthly management accounts and reporting results to group Preparation of year-end accounts Balance sheet reconciliations Working as part of the senior management team to ensure best practice across the business Cash flow reporting Production of budgets and forecasts Producing KPI reports Accruals and prepayments Preparation of year end reconciliations and reports for audit purposes Ad hoc reporting and analysis Managing staff, conducting 1:1s, reviews and appraisals This is a great opportunity for someone who has proven experience of managing staff, working in an all-encompassing role to carve their own niche in a fast-paced business. Advanced Excel skills are essential and experience of accounting software is equally important. The ability to prioritise and manage your workload and time is essential and strong interpersonal skills are a prerequisite. The successful candidate will be a qualified (or equivalent) accountant and will have proven expertise in a similar role.
