Risk Manager - Edinburgh Eden Scott's client is a major player in the offshore wind sector that is currently expanding its portfolio within the UK and Europe consisting through both ownership and joint venture partnership stake holdings in large scale offshore wind projects. The company is committed to further investments in the UK and Europe with aspirations to grow and develop. The company is actively recruiting for an experienced Risk Manager on a full-time staff basis located in the Edinburgh office. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the role is responsible for delivering the risk strategy for the project. This will include managing the quantification and mitigation of risks and is a key role in aiding the business in understanding and optimising project and shareholder returns. The Role Coordination of the overall project risks from procurement phase through construction to commercial operation; Facilitation of risk workshops on both package and project level as well as commercial valuation / modelling of risks; Management and administration of the project risk register, ensuring that all risk response plans are executed; Managing and facilitating risk and scenario modelling to determine project confidence data as required; Financial contingency management based on probability-weighted risk analysis and close collaboration and alignment with relevant interfaces (project cost controlling / commercial management, project planning and scheduling); Collating, integrating, evaluating and reporting project risks and lessons learned across financial, programme, HSE, environmental and reputation categories; Develop and manage the QRA models for offshore wind farm projects; and Monitoring and reporting risk contingency provisions for the overall project. The Candidate Degree qualified; Experience in developing and performing project risk analysis; Experience in project's funded by project finance (lenders); Expertise/experience in the offshore wind industry; Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills; Excellent communication skills with the ability to distil large amounts of information into key messages; Excellent interpersonal skills, well organised and self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team; A strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines; Operation of MS Office systems and other IT based project management software, in particular a first class ability in excel and risk Available to work in Edinburgh during the week with some international travel required.
