Job Purpose As our next Finance Manager, you'll be a fully qualified accountant (FCA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive management accounting and VAT experience from working within a large finance team. You'll be forward-thinking with a passion for learning, development and improvement, leading four direct reports across the Management Accounting and Bank Reconciliation teams.Supporting the Head of Finance, you'll be strategic and adaptable and the driving force behind the development and implementation of processes that improve accuracy and efficiency. You'll look for new ways to do things that are original and creative whilst embedding a robust control environment and promote a risk-aware culture across the business. You'll have top notch organisational skills as your responsibilities will include the accuracy and timeliness of the management and statutory accounts, fully participating in and managing month end routines.You'll be a great communicator that can adapt to any audience, conveying financial reports, variance analysis and other ad hoc analysis in a way that even your non-finance colleagues will find clear. Accountabilities Lead and develop 4 direct reports across the Management Accounting and Bank Reconciliation teams, building upon technical knowledge. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of the management and statutory accounts using sound technical principles Provide support to Head of Finance across a range of topical and accounting matters Fully participate and manage month end routines Provide support to wider non Finance team as required Develop and implement streamlined processes to improve accuracy and efficiency of reporting processes Adopt and drive an environment of ongoing process improvements by challenging the status quo and look for ways to do things better and more efficiently Work with the Head of Finance to embed a robust control environment and to promote a risk aware culture across the business Ability to communicate financial reporting, variance analysis and other ad hoc analysis in a clear and succinct way, tailored for relevant audiences, both finance and non-finance Qualifacations & Experience Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant or almost qualified (FCA, ACCA, CIMA) Experience: Experience in a similar role within a large finance team, extensive management accounting and VAT experience essential.
