The Prior Year Audit Executive will provide support to the UK & Ireland Sales company for the trade funds process. Deliver cash flow benefits by dealing effectively and efficiently with customer audit queries and managing the level of audit deductions on the customer ledger and developing the relationships to improve ways of working with the customer audit teams. Job description:
• Review paperwork from customers relating to trade incentives to ensure that only genuine trade funds invoices are parked by MBS.
• Execute the approval step for trade incentive invoices up to US$750k to ensure they are paid in the correct currency and any overspends on deals are approved and accounted for if valid. Ensure any workflow items are cleared in accordance with the agreed SLA.
• Execute daily, monthly and ad hoc requests from the CDE team relating to the processing of trade funds invoices. Utilise system knowledge to interpret requests, challenging validity as appropriate.
• Carry out monthly sampling of UK trade funds invoice back-up to ensure audit requirements are being met.
• Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issue; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct.
• Business Partnering: Business partner the sales managers to ensure we work together to manage their accounts' ledger and debt.
• Business partner with Customer Finance to improve processes to reduce future audit claims and improve information availability.
• Responsible for disputing invalid claims with customers/third party auditors.
• Audit & Control: Responsible for accurate and complete record retention in line with company policy. Required profile:
