An exciting opportunity has arisen to join South West Water as an Engineering and Regulatory Business Analyst based in, Exeter. The Role The Engineering and Regulatory Business Analyst will be a key member of the Wholesale Finance Team reporting to the Head of Wholesale Finance. You will be providing financial support to the Engineering, Regulatory and Corporate Directorates. This will include: Preparation of the monthly management accounts including calculation and review of accruals, prepayments and provisions, processing of journals and investigation of variances. This should include a strong understanding of key areas of spend. Development and preparation of high quality reports and management information reflecting the above, covering both operational and capex costs, to be submitted to the Head of Wholesale Finance. Where there are variances to budget, undertake investigation and work with the Management Teams to correct performance. Maintenance of source systems to meet current processes and structures in Operations including the updating of valid account codes, cost centre structures and capital project structures. Production of budgets and quarterly forecasts through liaison with key departmental budget owners. Wider support of the Wholesale Finance team as and when required.
